You may feel comfortable asking them for things that you need, from something as simple as extra towels to specially prepared meals from the chef. Deciding How Much to Tip
At the end of your trip, you will have the opportunity to provide the crew with a tip. This amount is typically based on the total expenditure of the yacht charter. The range is often 5% for average service to 15% or more for a yacht crew that went above and beyond to meet your needs. If you were a little more demanding and requiring more attention, you may want to tip on the higher end of this scale.
Keep in mind that a tip is not required for your luxury yacht charter. However, just like anyone employed in the service industry it is nice to be compensated for providing outstanding service.
